How we'll work together

I am trained as an integrative therapist. What’s integrative therapy? Well, it's an approach which blends together various tools from different therapeutic techniques. I believe there's no one-size-fits-all solution for everyone because each person is unique. So, instead of forcing one method on everyone, I customise my approach to fit each person's individual needs and circumstances.

There are 3 main approaches that I use:

Person-Centred Therapy

Person-Centred Therapy is all about letting individuals take the lead. It's a humanistic approach that believes everyone has this natural drive for their own well-being, which they call the "self-actualising tendency."

Attachment Theory

Attachment Theory emphasises the vital role of a primary caregiver's care and protection during childhood.

In psychotherapy, we delve into a person's early years and their initial bond with caregivers to understand how past feelings may contribute to unhelpful patterns in their adult life.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a form of psychotherapy that examines how your thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes influence your emotions and actions. Plus, it equips you with coping strategies to address life’s challenges.

With integrative therapy, it is recognised that there are many ways to understand and explore human experiences, and no single theory has all the answers. Each theory has something valuable to offer so I blend these ideas together to create a personalised therapy plan that suits you.

I don't make you fit into a therapy model;
I tailor your therapy to fit you

Next steps

If you would like to explore working together, or would like more information, please get in touch below via the contact form, or, if you are ready, book a 20-minute phone call. This call is free of charge and obligation, and a chance for us to discuss your needs in more detail, ask me any questions you have, and for us both to consider if we feel we are a good fit.

If, after our conversation, we feel that I’m not the right therapist for you, I’m very happy to make recommendations to support you in finding someone else.

Should we decide to work together, we'll arrange our first session where we'll discuss more about you and your life, and we can discuss potential goals. I'll also send over some necessary paperwork for both of us to sign before we start.

Ready for your introductory chat?

Take the first step with a free 20-minute phone call. During this call, we'll get to know each other, discuss your needs and goals, and see if we're a good fit. No fee and no obligation.
